Head West!

We Guths are going out to Freeport, Il, to visit my half-brother Steve, who I haven't seen in 39 years! My mom is coming with us on our fabulous adventure. Eschewing I 90, we're taking the road less traveled, and I have created a route using smaller roads. It may take a while longer, but we'll get to see America. We are going via Niagra Falls! This will be Max's first time. Anna was out there last year, and my mom and I were there around 40 years ago. We'll tell you all about it! Childrens Day

Every Year pro Portsmouth hosts "Children's day". It is Max favorite event, since we have Mothers day and Fathers day why not a Children's day?? This year like all the other years before us, we trotted downtown with the dog in tow to attend childrens day! It started at the Isle of Shoals Steamship parking lot. All your favorite characters arrived from "Character Island" via boat. After that we left for some treasure huntng=ing at the Moffat Ladd house, followed by a toy store visits, Icecream pit stop, hugs with Curious George and Max even managed to find Waldo!! Late lunch at Gillies and finally what better to round of this fine day then a movie visit with Gene to see the Avengers! Ahh life is not too bad....

Gardening!

Our friends the Heffron's invited us this year to take part in their gardening project. Ashley loves to garden and realized that her vegetable beds had taken on a life of their own... got It works like this.. every family volunteer some hours every week to weed and tend to the vegetable gardens, then we share whatever crop we get from it! Sounds fun right!! The plan is to meet every friday afternoon for some communal gardening and then afterwards share with some potluck supper. Well Sunday was our first get together. We all met, everyone dove right in,

Travel Fever

Getting ready to hit the road and to travel to Sweden, everything is packed and we are ready to go!

Muy intent was to keep posting snippets from our trip abroad, but as with many intentions this one fell on flat ground. We had an amazing time in Sweden, saw many friends and family. I got so inspired by my friend Blenda who post blogposts and pictures super frequently of her family for her extended family and friends to read and enjoy. Since I am already using Picasa to publish all my picture I can easily wip up some text to accompany the photos... Any way here we go.. I will give it a whirl!!
